10 Regrets You Don’t Want in 10 Years


Keep in mind that it is never too late to make some changes in your life so that you would have less regrets when you grow older.

  1. Not following your dreams. Don’t be one of those people who postpone their dreams. If you think that you don’t have time for them, you should understand that now you have plenty of it. You won’t have time to fulfill your dreams when you will become old.
  2. Working too hard. We work in order to get paid. But money makes your life only easier – it doesn’t add to your happiness. When you become old, you don’t remember money. Instead, you remember precious moments you experienced with people who are important to you.
  3. Not saying what you really mean. If you have strong feelings towards someone, you should express them as that person may never know how important they are in your life.
  4. Not keeping in touch with your close friends. You should always make time for people who care about you. Also, if you meet someone you like, don’t hesitate and ask them on a date. Even if they refuse, at least you won’t have to spend your life wondering what would have happened.
  5. Not being happy. You have total control of your emotions. Instead of being grumpy, choose to be happy. Enjoy every minute of your life as you don’t know when it will end.
  6. Worrying too much about what other people think. It has never made anyone happy or successful. Only you know what’s right for you and you should go after your goals despite other people’s opinions.
  7. Worrying too much. People constantly worry about things which they can’t control. It doesn’t solve their problems – it only adds unnecessary stress.
  8. Not taking care of your health. Young people don’t think about bad habits they have. They smoke, drink alcohol every weekend and don’t consider that such bad habits will have consequences later in life. Thus, if you want to stay healthy, you should change your lifestyle.
  9. Taking life for granted. Today people seem so busy that they forget how lucky they are to be alive. Life is a wonderful gift and you should appreciate it each day.
  10. Not living in the moment. People worry too much about their past or what will happen in the future and they forget to live in the present moment. What you should understand is that you can’t change what happened and what will happen. But you can change your present and you should focus on it instead.
